This month we are showcasing the incredible efforts from longtime Girl Scout volunteer, Diana Phillips! Diana is a service unit manager within the Mollocket Service Unit.
Known for her recruitment skills, Diana has been able to start two new Daisy troops in just three years in Norway alone! Her fellow volunteers describe Diana as someone they can always count on regardless of the project or program—you name it, and Diana is on her way to the rescue.
Initially joining the Girl Scout organizarion in 1981, Diana began her journey as a troop leader for her daughter’s troop. She stuck with the role right through her daughter’s adult bridging and even started a troop for her granddaughter afterwards. In 2023, Diana is continuing her passion for empowering Maine Girl Scouts by starting a troop for her great-granddaughter too!
“I enjoy being a leader and being a part of the service team! Girl Scouts is the best organization to volunteer with. I have learned so much and through trainings, I have grown. I love the impact that we, as leaders, have on girls,” says Diana.
Congratulations, Diana, and thank you for your unwavering support of GSME throughout the years. Your dedication and leadership does not go unnoticed and we are beyond grateful to have you on our team!
