Congratulations to Katie Perkins, our Volunteer of the Month!
Katie is a volunteer and troop leader from the Mountain2Sea Service Unit. Within her unit, Katie is a jack of all trades who wears many different hats. She holds several leadership roles that involve supervising fall product and cookie program sales to ensure that delivery and troop disbursement are streamlined and organized for her fellow volunteers.
Although in the past Katie has led a troop of older Girl Scouts, she’s recently begun working with Daisies as well. Katie inspires her Girl Scouts to be curious, thoughtful, and adventurous, often encouraging her troop to travel outside of their home state to share new experiences.
Despite her busy schedule and hefty list of responsibilities, Katie always has a smile on her face and a glass-half-full attitude. Katie’s fellow GSME volunteers describe her as someone who respects others and has a passion for success whether it’s within her troop or her service unit.
