Uniform Placement and Custom Insignia toggle arrow

Review the uniform diagrams that show placement of insignia, pins and badges or contact the shop staff for assistance.

Tax Exempt Purchases in Shops toggle arrow

You can get Girl Scout gear in person at our service centers or you can order gear by phone, mail, or fax. To order merchandise from our shops, complete this shop order form and submit it to our South Portland or Bangor Shop. We accept MasterCard, Discover, VISA, and American Express.

Troop purchases are sales tax exempt if paid with a troop debit card or troop check. Purchases paid with personal checks, personal debit/credit cards or cash are not tax exempt.

Refunds and Returns toggle arrow

Girl Scouts of Maine shop managers have full discretion on accepting items for return/refund.

*Dollars generated from purchases at your council store help provide programs and services to Girl Scouts in Maine.

All merchandise presented for return must be in resale condition, with original tags and packaging.
Customer must have a receipt reflecting purchase from Girl Scouts of Maine council shops.
Purchase must have been made within 30 days for refund to be issued.
Items that are discontinued or on clearance cannot be returned.
No items will be accepted for return or exchange after 30 days of purchase.

Online purchases:

Customer must have online receipt.
Purchase must have been made within 30 days.
Exchange only or gift card will be issued for future use in the council shops.
No cash value refund.

For-profit retail locations: There are various for-profit retailers in Maine that sell Girl Scout Merchandise. Girl Scouts of Maine council shops will not accept return/exchange of items purchased from for-profit businesses.

Retired Awards toggle arrow

As GSUSA continues to release new programming, many legacy badges and awards are being retired. Explore the retired awards and their closest current replacements, along with the year each award was retired. If you or your troop would still like to work on any of these retired programs, please check the online store and/or council shops to ensure the badges are still available for purchase. Last reviewed January 2026.
