Girl Scouts in Troop 1464 ventured to Massachusetts for a Nocturnal Nature themed Night Journey at the Ecoatrium. During their overnight visit, they explored the museum and discovered everything from insects and freshwater animals to noise pollution and outer space.
The highlight of the night was learning about owls and dissecting owl pellets. Some of the girls even uncovered rodent skulls in the process! They also took part in a scavenger hunt and explored the museum by flashlight, identifying a variety of nocturnal creatures.
As a final adventure before bed, the Girl Scouts watched the planetarium show. The next day the Girl Scouts got to see a great horned owl, a bald eagle, and a pair of river otters. The Girl Scouts said the weekend was a success and they would love to return for another Night Journey in the future.
