More than 500 Girl Scouts took their moves to the basketball court this January to participate in the annual Maine Celtics Dance Clinic! Thanks to choreography led by the Maine Celtics Dancers, the Girl Scouts put together a sleek routine which they were able to perform during the halftime show of a Maine Celtics game later that evening.
“I brought my daughter, Charlotte, to the dance clinic. This was her first time attending the event and she had so much fun,” says Troop 1487 Leader Krysta Lane.
During the three-hour clinic held in the afternoon on gameday, the Girl Scouts got to meet the dancers, connect with other members from around the state, and of course learn some professional dance moves!
“It was so great to watch Charlotte build up her confidence. Even though she isn’t the strongest dancer, she has so much heart and personality for it, so watching her learn and perform was amazing,” says Krysta.
