Girl Scout Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors from Central Maine recently gathered for a memorable CSA Hang Out, creating custom experiences and forming new friendships beyond their individual troops. The event took place at Day's Jewelers, where the girls explored the world of jewelry-making.
During their visit, the Girl Scouts discovered how the engraving machine works and learned about the significance of birthstones and pricing strategies. Each Girl Scout took home a personalized name-engraved keychain and enjoyed trying on various items, with a chance to win a beautiful necklace. The group also had the opportunity to speak with the store manager, who shared insightful stories about the in-house training provided to staff, from crafting jewelry to excelling in business roles without formal schooling.
This engaging experience not only broadened the participants' horizons but also highlighted the diverse career paths available within the jewelry industry, inspiring the attending Girl Scouts to dream big and explore all possibilities open to them.
