Future Leaders Scholarship Recipient, Serenity Cushing-Trott
A Silver Level Scholarship is awarded to Serenity Cushing of Dennysville.
One of the biggest challenges that she sees facing girls and women today is being taken seriously, especially in sports typically deemed for boys, such as wrestling. To help address this issue, she plans to coach women’s and girls’ wrestling and to advocate for female athletes to have equal opportunity as their male counterparts.
