Future Leaders Scholarship Recipient, Charlena LaVallee
The inaugural Joanne Crepeau Future Leaders Scholarship is awarded to Charlena LaVallee of Gray.
Charlena is a recent graduate of Gray-New Gloucester High School and plans to attend the University of Maine to major in Communication Sciences and Disorders. One of the biggest challenges Charlena sees facing women and girls today is fear of speaking up for what they believe in. As a future speech language pathologist, she will help girls speak up and create a group for girls who struggle to express themselves.
