Silver Award Girl Scouts, Avery and Kloe
Taking care of your pets can become very expensive. Girl Scouts Avery and Kloe discovered that in their community, many pet owners experienced financial hardships that made it hard for them to provide proper care for their pets. The girls created Knox Boxes and filled them with pet food, toys, grooming supplies, and other essentials. The girls placed the boxes in local food pantries and other areas that would be easily accessible to those who need help. They reached out to local businesses and had them donate supplies, worked with food pantries to promote their project, and created flyers that they distributed around town.
