This month, we’re celebrating an incredible volunteer who has dedicated so much time and energy to supporting girls and fellow volunteers in the Machigonne Service Unit.
Since joining as a leader for Troop 1423, Monique has been a driving force behind their Brownie/Junior troop, which is now one of the largest in Machigonne with 13 girls! From organizing fall product and cookie sales to leading exciting activities like baking and painting classes, a trip to Boston, and a fire station tour, Monique brings adventure and learning to her troop.
Beyond the troop, Monique is a vital part of the Machigonne service team, serving as the fall product and cookie manager and representing volunteers as a delegate. She has helped plan multiple Machigonne events, including an Almost Sleepover and a Cookie Rally with the Nonesuch Service Unit.
Always looking to grow, Monique recently completed FLOW training, became archery certified, and is now part of the Service Learning Team.
When not in Girl Scout mode, you can find Monique working with children and volunteering with local roller derby leagues!
Thank you, Monique, for everything you do for our Girl Scout community!
