This month, we’re celebrating Marie, an exceptional volunteer who has dedicated a significant amount of time and energy to supporting girls. As a troop leader for her daughter’s Girl Scout Cadette/Senior troop, Marie took on the challenge of starting a second troop to give more girls the opportunity to become Girl Scouts.
Beyond her troop, Marie serves as a community engagement champion in the Dirigo Service Unit, continuously inspiring both volunteers and girls. She actively promotes Girl Scouts through open houses, community fairs, and holiday events, ensuring more families learn about the program.
Marie’s commitment extends beyond her service unit. She seeks out new ways to engage the community, such as hosting Girl Scout tables at blood drives and participating in Trunk-or-Treat events.
Collaboration is key to Marie’s success. By fostering teamwork and shared goals, she strengthens the support network for both girls and volunteers.
Marie believes in the power of volunteering—not just for herself but for those around her. She often says, “Volunteering is infectious,” and her dedication proves it.
Thank you, Marie, for your incredible dedication to Girl Scouts of Maine!
