As a lone Senior Girl Scout within Greenville-based Troop 907, Avis pursues some of her badges and Journeys virtually through online meetings with other Seniors across the country. Recently, Avis took part in a Journey that was so much fun, she had to bring it back to the rest of the troop!
After completing Troop 110302’s Taylor Swift-themed Girltopia online, Avis and her troop leader mother, Mildred, decided to purchase the Journey to offer Troop 907 Cadettes and Juniors in person!
“The girls met up and enjoyed exploring the themes in Junior Amaze and Cadette Media. They discussed healthy relationships and smart media use by discussing Taylor Swift’s work, talents, and life” says Mildred.
No Taylor Swift-themed activity would be complete without some swag to bring home after, so of course the troop spent time creating their own custom gear! The Girl Scouts shared some snacks while jamming out to their favorite pop singer and decorating colorful T-shirts and intricate bracelets.
