How do I register for programs, events, and trainings?

It’s super easy! Simply find a program, event or training on the calendar, sign in to your MY GS account, update the quantity of girls and adults that you want to register, and complete the registration. If you are a troop leader, you can switch to your troop and register any girls and/or adults who are current members of your troop. Names, contact info, emergency contacts, etc. will automatically pull from our membership database—no more typing in lots of information. Please note, you cannot change any information (dietary restrictions, buddies, special circumstances) after registration. GSME also cannot change this information. Please ensure you have all this information before you register.

Important Note: If you are a NEW member, or a troop leader adding a new girl to your roster, please complete the membership registration first before you try to register for a program, event, or training.  It will take a few minutes for the systems to sync and then you can complete your program, event or training registration.

Looking for a quick intro on how to register for a program, event or training using gsEvents, go to gsLearn and in the 110 Tips for Managing our Girl Scout Troops learning path choose Managing My Troops From my Account. If you have not previously taken the course you can choose Skip Intro which will take you to the home page. There, choose How Do I register my Troop Members for Events

This training was developed for all 110 Girl Scout councils across the country and indicates that you can apply for financial aid or apply program credits. Please note Girl Scouts of Maine does not offer these options and you will only see the option to pay by credit card.

Program and Training Cancellation Policy

As GSME, we strive to use our resources wisely and make sure that we are doing the best we can to serve all our Girl Scouts. To ensure the best service possible, we have updated our cancellation policy for all our programs, events, and trainings. Please read and plan carefully when registering!

What happens if I need to cancel my registration?

If you have already registered for a program, event, or training, and need to cancel, refund requests received on or prior to the registration deadline will receive a refund, minus a 10% administrative fee. Cancellations made after the registration deadline for the program, event or training will not be eligible for a refund.

What happens if GSME cancels?

If GSME cancels a program, event, or training for any reason, we will refund the full amount of your registration fee. Decisions regarding cancellations due to inclement weather will be made with the safety of our members in mind, and will be based on conditions at the program, event, or training location.

Are there any exceptions?

Occasionally, the policy may vary depending on the timing of our required payment to the provider of the program, event, or training. We will make sure those details are in the communications for that opportunity.

Program FAQs
Do adults/leaders need to attend GSME events and programs with the girls?

For in-person events, troops should follow the girl-to-adult ratios found in Volunteer Essentials unless otherwise stated. Girls attending individually (not with a troop) will need to attend with a parent/guardian.

Do the adults need to register for GSME programs and events?

For in-person events, adults DO need to register in order to attend. For virtual events, only girls need to register.

Can I attend a program that is not for my level?

Programs listed are geared toward the age levels listed and follow the Girl Scout year to determine when a girl bridges to the next level. To be able to register, you need to be in one of the grades listed.

Are tagalongs allowed to attend?

Unless indicated as a family program, tagalongs are not permitted at GSME programs and events.
