STATEWIDE — Girl Scouts of Maine (GSME) kicks off the booth sales portion of the Girl Scout Cookie Program as well as the first annual Girl Scout Cookie Palooza—a culinary adventure supporting GSME programs and local businesses.
18 (and counting) local restaurants, breweries, and venues across Maine have partnered with Girl Scouts of Maine for their inaugural Girl Scout Cookie Palooza, offering culinary creations and pairings featuring their favorite Girl Scout Cookies, drawing in food lovers and culinary adventurers across Maine. The Girl Scout Cookie Program is not only a celebrated tradition but the world’s largest girl-led entrepreneurial initiative. Through Cookie Palooza Maine’s local businesses are contributing to this tradition while supporting Girl Scouts in their community.
As they showcase their unique cookie creations such as Mast Landing’s Deliteful Cookie Stout, Nonesuch River Brewing’s French Toast Crème Brûlée, and Mason’s Brewing’s Mint Chocolate Mousse (to name just a few) businesses are also competing for the title of “Fan Favorite” through a donate-to-vote contest. A social media contest for consumers offers the chance for one lucky winner to receive a year’s supply of Girl Scout Cookies.
Girl Scout Cookie Palooza would not be possible without the restaurants, breweries, and venues participating including: Mast Landing Brewing Co., Mason’s Brewing Company, 2 Feet Brewing, Bissell Brothers Brewing, Ruska Coffee Co., Fawn’s Coffee, Gather, Sur Lie, Sicilian Table, Royal River Grill House, Tuscan Brick Oven Bistro, Tuscan Table, Nonesuch River Brewing, Gritty McDuff’s, The Quarry Tap Room, Olive Pit Brewing, Nanny’s, and The Abbey.
Cookie Palooza creations will be available throughout April. Visit www.girlscoutsofmaine.org/cookiepalooza to learn more and plan your delicious culinary adventure.
April 1st also marks the beginning of Girl Scout Cookie booth sales in Maine. During this time of year girls acquire essential life skills including goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills, and business ethics. All proceeds from cookie sales stay local in Maine to help power Girl Scouts’ experiences all year long.
The Girl Scout Cookie Program provides vital girl-led entrepreneurial skills that build courage, confidence, and character. Girl Scouts around the state allocate their earnings towards community causes important to them, travel opportunities, educational pursuits, and more.
“Our Girl Scouts are doing amazing things. They are leaders determined to keep growing and learning while accomplishing their goals and making a meaningful impact in their community,” said Girl Scouts of Maine CEO Mara Robinov-Moorhead. “We can learn so much from them and should support them by buying cookies!”
At cookie booths throughout Maine, cookie fans can enjoy their favorite snack knowing their contributions support local Girl Scouts as they discover their leadership opportunities, forge friendships, and make the world a better place. Supporters can also purchase “cookie shares” that will be donated and distributed to food banks throughout Maine. Learn more and find cookies near you at www.girlscoutsofmaine.org/cookies.

We Are Girl Scouts of Maine
Girl Scouts bring their dreams to life and work together to build a better world. Through programs across the state of Maine and beyond, Girl Scouts of all backgrounds and abilities can be unapologetically themselves as they discover their strengths and rise to meet new challenges—whether they want to climb to the top of a tree or the top of their class, lace up their boots for a hike or advocate for climate justice, or make their first best friends. Backed by trusted adult volunteers, mentors, and millions of alums, Girl Scouts lead the way as they find their voices and make changes that affect the issues most important to them.
