How do you find a fossil and how do you know what you're looking at? Use tools and clues that scientists use to understand Earth's prehistoric past. Examine real fossils and top-grade replicas, compare them to living organisms, learn about what Maine was like 20000 or 200 million years ago, and gain a better understanding of the world of the dinosaurs and the concept of extinction and fossilization. This program includes a mini fossil dig where YOU can become a field paleontologist finding fun fossils!
Girl Scouts must have an adult or troop leader to supervise them during the event. Troop Leaders: If you are registering your troop, please follow troop ratios.
A minimum of 10 Girl Scouts is needed to run this program.
