The Customer Care Specialist is responsible for serving as the first point of contact for incoming customer inquiries via phone, email, web or in person and for providing exceptional customer service throughout all customer interactions. She/he records all inquiries within the membership database (Volunteer Systems) and is fluent in case management processes and guidelines.

Director of Camp Programs & Property

The Director of Camp Programs and Property is responsible for providing overall leadership management and strategic direction of all aspects of outdoor program and property as they relate to resident camp, day camps, facility management, and other outdoor program events. The Director of Camp Programs and Property actively participates in the strategic planning of the council, and in the development of the vision and implementation plans for outdoor programming and property usage. The position applies specific knowledge of resident camp practices, including ACA standards, state rules and best practices to all aspects of camp operations and facilities. The position is also responsible for the coordination of safety and risk management for the council, insuring that adequate insurance coverage is secured and that the Safety Activity Checkpoints guidelines for property are followed.

Camp Director

Girl Scouts of Maine has an immediate opening for a talented, dynamic director for Camp Pondicherry in Bridgton, in Maine’s beautiful Lakes Region. The Camp Director is a year round position responsible for managing all aspects of camp, including the administration of resident camp, day camp, troop and family camp, off season events, and program events. The work of this position is integrated into the overall program goals of GSME, therefore, the Director participates in various collaborative council committees and efforts. The Camp Director ensures that program offerings are based on the Girl Scout Leadership Experience, customized to address the needs, preferences and interests of girls, and implemented to meet designated leadership program outcomes.

Part Time Opportunities

Program Assistant

Girl Scouts of Maine is hiring a Program Assistant for the A Place for Girls program to deliver virtual programming to the girls in the York County area. The Program Assistant contributes to the growth and development of girls in grades K-8 by providing quality programming and emphasizing the values and standards of Girl Scouts of the USA.

This is a part time position, 3-5 hours per week from late August – mid June. The program runs on Tuesdays from 4-7 p.m. The hours per week includes both preparation for meetings and the meetings themselves.
