Customer Relations Specialist

The Customer Relations Specialist is responsible for serving as the first point of contact for incoming customer inquiries via phone, email, web or in person and for providing exceptional customer service throughout all customer interactions. She/he records all inquiries within the membership database (Salesforce/Volunteer Systems) and is fluent in case management processes and guidelines.

The Customer Relations Specialist is also responsible for performing general administrative duties for the council as directed.

Camp Director

Girl Scouts of Maine has an immediate opening for a talented, dynamic director for Camp Pondicherry in Bridgton, in Maine’s beautiful Lakes Region. The Camp Director is a year-round position responsible for managing all aspects of camp, including the administration of resident camp, day camp, troop and family camp, off season events, and program events. The work of this position is integrated into the overall program goals of GSME, therefore, the Director participates in various collaborative council committees and efforts. The Camp Director ensures that program offerings are based on the Girl Scout Leadership Experience, customized to address the needs, preferences and interests of girls, and implemented to meet designated leadership program outcomes.

The Camp Director is based at the South Portland office in the off season. Work schedule can be hybrid which includes working remotely. During the summer months, Director must live on site at Camp Pondicherry (private apartment provided). Frequent in-state travel is required throughout the year. Additionally, evening and weekend work may arise during the year but is required during the summer.

Community Engagement Specialist (Augusta)

The Community Engagement Specialist is a sales position with responsibilities for the recruitment of Girl Scout adult volunteers (troop leaders) and girl members throughout Central and Mid-Coast Maine, including Androscoggin, Franklin, Kennebec, Knox, Lincoln, Sagadahoc, Somerset, and Waldo Counties. She/he will achieve territorial recruitment/sales goals through planning and presenting at recruitment events year-round including school open houses, Explore Girl Scouts events for parents and girls, community fairs and festivals, public speaking engagements, presentations to businesses, and networking within professional organizations. She/he will recruit, train and oversee volunteer recruiters to assist within the territory. She/he is responsible for lead generation and follow-up and working with other departments within Girl Scouts of Maine (GSME) to convert the leads to troop leaders or girl members.

This 35 hour per week position is 50% office and 50% field-based, and frequent travel, along with evening and weekend work, is required.

She/he is responsible for lead generation and follow-up and working with other departments within Girl Scouts of Maine (GSME) to convert the leads to troop leaders or girl members.

This 35 hour per week position is 50% office and 50% field-based, and frequent travel, along with evening and weekend work, is required. While the position can be remote based, the person must live within their assigned territory within the state of Maine.

Information Systems Associate

The Information Systems Associate is responsible for the integrity of data in various systems including our membership database (Volunteer Systems platform of Salesforce), and other databases as needed.

The incumbent will assist the Information Systems Manager with database report development, research of issues in all systems including Salesforce, Hybris, Looker etc. and when necessary will escalate detailed cases to GSUSA. She/he is also responsible for the creation and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOP) related to data quality as well as reviewing, formatting and publishing staff submitted updates to the Volunteer Systems SOP.

Volunteer Support Specialist

The Volunteer Support Specialist is responsible for helping achieve the Councils’ overall membership and retention goals for adults through the recruitment, development and support of high-functioning service unit teams and the onboarding, training and support of troop leaders, within an assigned geographic territory. She/he serves as one of the many Council champions for the delivery of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience through volunteers.
