Congratulations to our Volunteer of the Month!

Sherrie Messier

Sherrie Messier has been with Girl Scouts for 2 years and has been the service unit manager for the Longreach Service Unit for just as long. She has stepped up in many ways over the years Sherrie is a troop leader for two troops and has participated in/taken the lead on many events. Some events she has helped with include Trunk or Treat and the Cookie Rally for her service unit.

Sherrie lives the Girl Scout Law and is always willing to do what needs to be done as a moment’s notice. She has jumped into the role of leading troop meetings, managing rosters, keeping track of troops in her service unit, and she has even driven to her Volunteer Support Specialists home to get patches!

The Longreach Service Unit may be small, but Sherrie leads a mighty group of volunteers. Thank you, Sherrie for supporting Girl Scouts and showing girls how to lead on their own terms.
