When you support the Girl Scouts of Maine,
you are supporting our future leaders!

More than 11,000 girls in Maine participate in programs offered by Girl Scouts of Maine thanks to generous community support.

What do you see in a young girl's eyes? Sparkle, excitement, confidence, pride. What puts a smile on her face? Being a Girl Scout!

When a girl in your community joins the Girl Scouts, there are many opportunities for caring adults to participate in her experience. With your financial help Girl Scouts of Maine can continue to:

  • Offer innovative, educational programs for girls throughout the state;
  • Provide more than $90,000 annually in financial assistance for girls in need;
  • Train and support more than 4,500 dedicated, adult volunteers;
  • Maintain our properties at Camp Natarswi, Camp Pondicherry, Camp Scelkit and Camp Kirkwold to ensure girls' safety and well-being
Did you know...
  • That the cost to bring Girl Scouting to just one girl in Maine is almost $250 per year?
  • The $12 annual registration fee is forwarded to our national organization, GSUSA, to provide programming and insurance?
  • That troop dues provide funds for Troop activities only?
  • That income from the cookie and magazine sales represent just a portion of our council's annual expenses, requiring us to reach out to friends in the community to cover the rest?

No other organization can give girls and leaders so much for so little. Please consider making a donation to our council's annual campaign - the amount you give is far less important than the fact that you do make a gift to affirm the great work being done to provide girls with opportunities they could find nowhere else.
