Junior Maine Guide Program

The Junior Maine Guide Program is unique to the State of Maine. The Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife created the program to teach Maine youth important outdoor skills. There are three levels to the program: Junior Maine Woodsman, Maine Woodsman and Junior Maine Guide. Each level focuses on specific skills with a test at the end of the session. Junior Maine Woodsman and Maine Woodsman take place entirely on our camp property. The Junior Maine Guide (JMG) learning sessions will take place at Camp Pondicherry and Camp Natarswi. The test camp for the JMG program will take place at a site selected by the Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife and will happen the last week of the session.
