A girl personalizes her Girl Scout journey by choosing from a variety of pathways that are of interest to her and fit her schedule. Explore our pathways and decide which meet the needs of you and your girl!
Camp Pathway
This is one of the most traditional and memorable ways to become involved in Girl Scouting. Girl Scout camp provides a safe and fun environment where girls explore nature, develop new skills, make friends, enjoy outdoor activities and create memories that last a lifetime.
There are a variety of camp programs for girls ages 5 to 17 including special adult and me overnights. Participate in a day camp, enjoy an overnight minicamp, or register for a resident camp and stay for a week. Check out our current offerings.
Event Pathway
Girl Scouts of Maine offers several one-day events. Whatever your interests, there is a Girl Scout event for you. Girls can customize their Girl Scout experience and attend as many or as few events as they’d like. Check out our current Compass program catalog packed with event listings.
Series Pathway
This pathway is the quickest and easiest way to become involved in Girl Scouting. Series opportunities connect girls to program experiences related to a specific theme or purpose (science, outdoors, health, leadership, etc.) and may run for four – six meetings with the same group of girls. Check out our current offerings.
Travel Pathway
Girl Scouts go places! Girls in grades 6 to 12 can take their Girl Scout experience to a whole new level as they become their own travel agent through a Travel Pathway. Girl Scouts sponsors regional, national, and international trips. Get going with current travel pathways now! Check out our current offerings.
Troop Pathway
The Girl Scout troop experience exists because of volunteers – thousands of them! A Girl Scout troop consists of at least two unrelated adult volunteers and at least five girls of the same age and grade level. Troops meet together regularly (leaders decide with girls and their families how often), usually for the duration of the school year. Troops provide an opportunity for girls to discover, connect, and take action via the Girl Scout Leadership Experience with a combination of learning, skill-building and fun.
Due to the overwhelming interest in Girl Scouts of Maine programs, we cannot guarantee a space in an existing troop for your girl. Starting a new troop is an effective way to ensure there is a troop for your girl and other girls in your area. Becoming a Girl Scout leader can take you and your girl on an amazing journey!
