Financial AssistanceFive girls at camp

Girl Scouts of Maine Camperships:

Financial assistance for Girl Scouts of Maine summer camp programs is available through our Campership Fund. The funds come from several sources, including contributions by individuals and community groups. “Camperships” are for Girl Scouts of Maine members who, without this assistance, could not attend camp. Camperships are awarded to pay for part of the camp fee for only one session per girl, per summer. Please complete a separate form for each girl and include the deposit when you apply.

Applicants will be notified in writing of the decision of the committee. If you cannot pay the balance, your deposit will be refunded provided we receive your written cancellation one month prior to your program.

All requests for assistance remain strictly confidential. Camp counselors and other campers are not aware which girls have received camperships and which girls have paid the full fee.

To receive assistance, a girl must be a currently registered Girl Scout in Girl Scouts of Maine or be willing to register. This form is for financial assistance only and NOT to register for camp. You must also register for camp by completing the Camp Registration Form and including the required deposit.

Please be detailed regarding family income and any special circumstances. Incomplete forms cannot be processed. The Campership Application must be received no later than May 1, 2008, and it must accompany the Camp Registration Form and deposit.
