Welcome to our annual Fall Product Sale Activity. Girl Scouts of Maine is excited at the choices we have to offer this year. By purchasing or renewing your favorite magazines, ordering books, music CDs, candy,
nuts or candles for yourself or gifts for family or friends you help support Girl Scouts of Maine. The troop proceeds helps girls participate in activities they plan by supplementing their troop treasury. The council revenue helps provide support services for leaders and girls. Girl participation is voluntary and girls must have signed parent permission before participating. Ordering information is included in the girl’s sales packet.

Although there are many other groups doing sales within communities at this time of year, many girls do not find this to be a conflict. The fall product sale activity is not a door to door sale, it is intended to reach out to family, friends, and co-workers. The delivery of most of these products (excluding magazine titles, books or CDs) will be mid November prior to the Thanksgiving holiday.

Here’s how it works:

Step 1

  • Families and friends browse through the catalog for all of the magazine, book and music
    selections.

  • Complete the order form and attach their check (payable to GSME) for their selections.*


Step 2

  • Help your Girl Scout complete the Step 2 booklet.

  • List family and friends who live away and did not have the opportunity to order during Step 1.

  • Each booklet must have a minimum of 11 names and complete mailing addresses to qualify.

  • Limit one coupon per household and one booklet per girl.

 

Step 3 Go Nuts!

  • Girls take orders for their customer’s favorite nuts, candy and candles.

  • These items make great holiday gifts!

  • Order extra for quick gifts for unexpected guests or thank you gifts.

  • Collect payment at this time.

 

*Third party and post dated checks cannot be accepted. GSME will charge a $25.00 return check fee for all checks that are returned due to insufficient funds. We also reserve the right to add additional costs incurred to collect funds due through our collection agency.


All product sale activities in Girl Scouting promote teamwork within your daughter’s troop. When troops
participate, they celebrate their success as a group rather than on individual sales. The troop learns to set goals for the year and begins reaching those goals with the activities and funds provided. Girls are proud to see the success of their efforts and accomplishments!


We appreciate the time and effort you contribute to your daughter’s troop. Supporting your Girl Scout with encouragement will help her succeed now, and build self-esteem to last a lifetime! Through this activity girls learn: Honesty-Integrity-Responsibility-Safety-Interpersonal skills-Positive family
communication-Service to others-Planning and Decision-making.
