Directions to Camp Kirkwold

From Augusta: Take Route 202 via I-95/Maine Turnpike.  Take Exit 109 towards Winthrop). Travel west 2.3 miles from the Getty gas station light to Route 17 in Manchester. Turn right onto Route 17 going to Readfield. Travel 7.4 miles to a blinking light in Readfield at the intersection of Route 17 & Route 41. * Continue straight 1.9 miles to P Ridge Road. Turn left onto P. Ridge Road. Travel 2 miles and turn right onto Lane Road. Travel 7/10 of a mile to Camp Kirkwold. There is a sharp left turn in the road just before the gate.

From the Waterville Area: Take I-95/Maine Turnpike south – Exit 109B to Route 202, Winthrop.  Stay on Route 202 to Manchester. Turn right onto Route 17. Stay on Route 17 through Readfield. * Turn left onto P Ridge Road, 1.9 miles from flashing light in Readfield. Turn right onto Lane Road. Continue to curve. The entrance to Kirkwold is the second dirt road on your right.

From Lewiston/Auburn: Travel Route 202 toward Winthrop. Exit right onto Route 133. When the road forks, turn right onto Route 41. Take Route 41 to the blinking light in Readfield. Turn left. Continue with directions above from the (*) asterisk.

From Brunswick/Bath/Topsham: Take I-295 north to I-95/Maine Turnpike to Route202, Winthrop, Exit 109.  Stay on Route 202 to Manchester. Turn right onto Route 17. Stay on Route 17 through Readfield. Continue with directions above from the Waterville area from the (*) asterisk.

From the Rockland Area: Take Route 1 to Route 17, west. Turn right onto Route 9 in Augusta (Eastern Avenue - Route 17 ends here). Take Route 9 to the first rotary, cross the river. Take the second rotary to Route 202. Stay on Route 202 to Manchester. Turn right onto Route 17. Stay on Route 17 through Readfield. Continue with directions above from the Waterville area from the (*) asterisk.

From Farmington: Take Route 2, east to Route 41 at Farmington Falls. Turn right onto Route 41. Follow to Readfield. (*) asterisk. Just past the Methodist Church, turn right on P Ridge Road. Turn right onto Lane Road, continue to curve. The entrance to Kirkwold is the 2nd dirt road on your right.

From Somerset County: Take Route 2, east to Route 134, just before the New Sharon Bridge. Turn left onto Route 134. When it dead-ends, turn left onto Route 41. Stay on Route 41 until it merges with Route 17. Merge left. Continue with directions above from the Waterville area from the (*) asterisk.

From Calais, Ellsworth, Belfast: Take Route 1 South to Route 3 West in Belfast. Follow Route 3 West to I-95 South. Follow directions from Augusta.

 

Directions to Camp Natarswi

From North or South on I-95, take the Medway exit and turn toward Millinocket. Follow the signs to Baxter State Park. It is 17 miles to camp. Camp Natarswi is located on the Baxter State Park access road right after the first of a series of speed bumps.

 

 

Directions to Camp Pondicherry                                                                                             

 

From the Portland area:
Route 114
toward Sebago Lake. Turn left from Route 114 onto Long Hill Road (to Route 107, past Sebago Lake) at East Sebago. At the stop sign, turn right onto Route 107. Follow Route 107 for 9.5 miles, to Camp Pondicherry Road. Turn left onto Camp Pondicherry Road; proceed from * below.

Take
Route 302 North (Forest Avenue) from Portland or take I-95/Maine Turnpike to Exit 48; take a right after the tollbooth onto Riverside Street. Stay on Riverside Street about 2 miles and turn left onto Route 302. ** Follow Route 302, northwest, through Naples toward Bridgton. About 4 miles beyond Naples, after you pass Lake Region High School on the right, take the first road (Burnham Road) to the left. Follow this road 1/2 mile to the intersection, turn left up the hill, still on Burnham Road. Follow Burnham Road to the stop sign. Turn left onto Route 107; go 1/10 mile to the first road on the right ***. Turn right onto Camp Pondicherry Road *; this is the same road that goes to Adams Lake Housekeeping Cottages. Follow Camp Pondicherry Road past the Adams Lake Housekeeping Cottages, 4/10 mile to the entrance to camp.

From Lewiston: Take Route 11 from Auburn rotary to Route 302 and turn right, proceed from ** above.

From Augusta-Waterville area
: Take I-95/Maine Turnpike to Gray (Exit 63 - formerly Exit 11), turn left on Route 115. In Windham, turn right onto Route 302 and proceed from ** above.

From Norway/South Paris: Take
Route 117 to Bridgton. From Bridgton, take Route 117 towards Denmark. Turn left onto Route 107 and continue for 2.9 miles. Proceed from *** above.

From Biddeford-Saco area: Take
Route 35 and turn left onto Route 114, Sebago Lake. Turn left from Route 114 onto Long Hill Road (to Route 107) at East Sebago. At the stop sign, turn right onto Route 107. Follow Route 107 for 9.5 miles, to Camp Pondicherry Road. Turn left onto Camp Pondicherry Road; proceed from * above.

From Sanford area, follow
Route 11 to Route 107. Proceed 14.5 miles on Route 107. Turn left onto Camp Pondicherry Road; proceed from * above.

From Calais, Ellsworth, Belfast
: Take Route 1 South to Route 3 West in Belfast. Follow Route 3 West to I95 South. Follow directions from Augusta/Waterville area.

 

 Directions to Camp Scelkit 

Go south on the Maine Turnpike until the end (York toll booth). Take the first exit immediately after the toll booth. Turn left at the stop sign, following the signs for Route 1, south. Turn right at the traffic light onto Route 1; a Visitor Center will be directly ahead. Get into the left lane so that at the next set of lights, you can turn left onto Route 1A. Follow Route 1A for 1.3 miles to York Village. Turn right onto Route 103 (Lilac Lane). Continue on Route 103 for 4.2 miles. Turn left onto Gerrish Island Lane. (There will be a large blue house on the right and the road sign is at an angle, so you may see Brave Boat Harbor.) Continue through the stop sign. Cross the bridge and bare left at the fork onto Goodwin Road. Camp is on the left, 1/2 mile down.
