Who Can Be a Brownie Girl Scout?

  • The recommended age level for Brownies is 1st through 3rd grades.

  • Girls of all races, cultures, and religious groups.

  • Any girl who agrees to try to live by the Girl Scout Promise and Girl Scout Law.

You're an explorer or a discoverer—or would like to be one—then you're all set to be a Brownie Girl Scout! As a Brownie Girl Scout, you can:

  • Pack a lunch and take a day hike or bike trip with your troop.

  • Visit your neighborhood radio station.

  • Sing new songs and play new games. Plant flowers in a local park and watch them grow.

  • Make arts and crafts gifts to share with your family.

  • Go on an overnight camping trip and learn about living in the out-of-doors.

  • Be a helper and a friend maker.

  • Learn to sign your name using the sign language alphabet.

  • Make your own recycled paper.

  • Perform chemistry magic.
