Kathy is a member of the Girl Scouts of Maine Board of Directors.  Previously, she served on the board of legacy council Kennebec.  She has worked in the field of education as an art teacher and school administrator for 30 years.  She has served on numerous committees that help children who are involved in the criminal justice system.  She is an active member of the Portland Kiwanis Club currently serving on the board, a member of the AMHI Consent Decree Panel, volunteers for Habitat for Humanity, and has been a member of the Portland Homeless Committee.  Kathy is particularly interested in children new to this country having an opportunity to participate in Girl Scouting.
