Denise is currently treasurer of the Girl Scouts of Maine Board of Directors, and previously was treasurer of legacy council Kennebec for two terms. She is chair of the Finance-Audit Committee, and was chair of legacy council Kennebec's Council Realignment Committee's Finance Sub-committee. Denise has served as president and treasurer of the Susan Curtis Foundation and is presently a member of its Founders' Circle. She is a member of the USM Business Advisory Council.
