Participants learn how to work with girls to plan and develop the skills needed for a successful camping trip. Course includes girl/adult partnership and the camping experience, progression skills, program options, environmental practices, and problem solving. Non-leaders may take this training to become the troop camp trained adult for the troop. However, non-leaders must work in partnership with the leader who has had Basic Training, both to prepare the girls and to accompany them on the camping trip. Bring: pen, paper, Leader Guide and Safety-Wise.

Troop Camp Training has two parts: Preparation for Troop Camping and Troop Camp Training, Overnight. One adult per troop must take both parts to take a troop camping; this includes camporees.
Pre-requisite: Preparation for Troop Camping
Acquire the skills to make your troop's camping experience a positive one. Enjoy the fun of camping with other Girl Scout adults. Troop Camping fee is $20.00 and payable upon sign up. The check should be made out to GSME. A confirmation packet will be sent following registration.
This training runs from 8:30 a.m. Saturday morning until 12 p.m. Sunday afternoon.

Troops may not take any trips beyond their meeting place until at least one member of the troop leadership team has completed Basic Leadership - Multi Level or Teen Advisor Training. It is recommended that leaders meet with the troop at least twice before attending Basic Leadership Training. New leaders working with girls in grades 6-12 must take Teen Advisor Training, not Multi-Level. This training is designed for all new leaders working with Daisy, Brownie or Junior Girl Scouts. Participants learn how to work with girls to plan and develop the skills needed for a successful camping trip. Course includes girl/adult partnership and the camping experience, progression skills, program options, environmental practices, and problem solving. Non-leaders may take this training to become the troop camp trained adult for the troop. However, non-leaders must work in partnership with the leader who has had Basic Training, both to prepare the girls and to accompany them on the camping trip. Bring: pen, paper, Leader Guide and Safety-Wise.
There is no cost for this training.

The check should be made out to GSME. A confirmation packet will be sent following registration. This training runs from 9:00 a.m. Saturday to 12:00noon Sunday.
